Celebrating Pathology Excellence at the 36th IAP-AD Annual Congress

Optoscient is honored to have attended the 36th Annual Congress of the International Academy of Pathology Arab Division (IAP-AD 2025), held October 22-25, 2025, at the Helnan Palestine Hotel in Alexandria, Egypt.

The IAP-AD Congress is one of the most prestigious pathology gatherings in the Arab world and is accredited by the American Association of Continuing Medical Education® (AACME). This year’s edition brought together pathologists, researchers, clinicians, and industry professionals from across the region, and the topics covered a wide range of pathology subspecialties, including head and neck, breast, neuropathology, gynecological, hepatobiliary, and more.

A memorable moment of the event was an inspiring session by Prof. Zahi Hawass, world-renowned archaeologist and former Minister of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt. His lecture took attendees on a journey through Egypt’s ancient wonders and timeless heritage, connecting history with scientific discovery in a way only he can. It was a reminder that the spirit that drives archaeology is the same spirit that drives pathology: the pursuit of answers hidden in plain sight.

This congress was a great opportunity for us at Optoscient to connect with the pathology community on its home turf. As a company dedicated to advancing healthcare and scientific research in Egypt, we believe the lab is where great medical outcomes begin. We were honored to be present among so many brilliant minds, engaging in insightful discussions about the future of pathology and medical innovation.

We’d like to thank the exceptional leaders who made this event a success: Dr. Salwa Elhaddad, President of the IAP-AD Congress; Prof. Iman Hewedi, Head of the Scientific Committee; and Prof. Ola Nada, Head of the Organizing Committee.

We’re looking forward to the next chapter with the IAP-AD community, and to continuing our journey toward pathology excellence.
