Empowering Egypt’s Next Generation of Pathologists at the 46th ASUMC

Optoscient is honored to have participated in the 46th Annual Ain Shams University Medical Congress (ASUMC), held on April 9th at the Hilton Heliopolis in Cairo, Egypt.

The ASUMC is one of Egypt’s most distinguished academic medical events. A platform that has, for nearly five decades, brought together physicians, specialists, researchers, and healthcare professionals from across the country and the Arab world. This year’s congress included the 8th Annual Conference of Pathology, a space for professionals to exchange knowledge and discuss the future of Egyptian medicine.

Our participation was driven by the mission to support the next generation of pathology experts. That is why we brought two instruments from our Optoscope range to the congress: the OS25 and the OS45.

The Optoscope OS25 is built for teaching environments. It combines durability, clarity, and ease of use that make it ideal for students and everyday lab work. The Optoscope OS45 is a professional-grade microscope featuring an advanced NIS infinity optical system with high-numerical-aperture plan-achromatic objectives, multilayer coating technology, and an ergonomic design for long-session observation. Attendees gained hands-on experience and discovered how the right tools evolve alongside the professionals who use them.

We are grateful to the visionaries who made this congress possible: Prof. Dr. Mohamed Al-Anwar, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Ain Shams University and President of the Congress; and Prof. Dr. Manal Elmahdy, Head of the Pathology Department at Ain Shams University and President of the Pathology Conference. Their work continues to advance the standard of diagnostic science in Egypt.

We’re proud to contribute to the future of healthcare in Egypt by providing the tools that turn careful observations into life-saving insights, and by standing alongside the professionals and students who make that work their life’s calling.
